Season 3 Wrap-up

Ladies as a bonus I decided to release the lost WBIFL Blogs burried deep in the archives. For starters here is the never seen before Season 3 Recap...

Well I'm sad to say that we are down to our last Sunday for Season 3 the Trifecta!! This is without a doubt the greatest season in our three year history. Here is recap of how we got here:

Season 1
The initial draft gets off to a rocky start with only 8 owners present and 2 auto pick participants. We struggle all year to find a owner to take over the 10th team and deal with rosters constantly not being updated. The championship features the owner less 10Th team VS Team Truco. The game concludes with Team Truco running away with the title (thanks to the Bears and D. Hester)

Highlights - Kevin's weekly Commentaries
Lowlights - Lack of participation (draft, trades, roster adjustments, etc.)

Season 2
Draft again has 8 owners present and 2 auto pick participants. We get a rookie named Panama who strikes gold with 4 starters that put up better numbers than most teams. He runs away with regular season breaking scoring records poised to win the title but ..... In a stunner the returning champ has a horrible draft but is bailed out with 2 stunning trades that help him land another title.

Highlights- Added toilet bowl, cheerleader trophy, WBIFL Blog, Keepers, WBIFL Logo and custom helmets.

Lowlights - Lack of participation (draft, trades, roster adjustments, etc.)

At the end of last season I stated the following:

"I already have a theme for next year: WBIFL Season III 'What's the Excuse this time!!". If your not ready to play a full 16 games next year then don't even bother coming back. Again you play to win the game...."

Season 3......

Team By Team Season Recap

The Team formerly known as Planet Drew

Draft Grade A-
Started off strong with drafting A.Peterson, W. Parker, D. Williams, S. Smith, B. Marshall and TE O. Daniels. He stumbled with R.Meachem but overall played the whole season with the team he drafted.

Keepers Grade C+

R. Bush - Was averaging 24.3 and ranked #1 before injury.

V. Young -His mother had more of in impact on the Titans than him

Mid Season Moves A+
He stayed active in waiver wire pool and tweaked roster frequently to bolster pretty powerfull lineup.

Final Grade A+
League Champ

Panama
Draft Grade C-
Had a tough break by having to let go of 3 top ten players. Scored well by drafting P. Rivers, D. Clark and S. Moss. He stumbled by selecting:D. McFadden, J. Jones, C. Taylor and the death blow dropping Wes Welker. Unfortunately Panama played with the majority of the players he drafted

Keepers Grade C-

T. Brady - Didn't last one quarter and when he went down so did Panama's chances for a title
Steelers D -2nd rated defense but hey this is Fantasy football. Defense doesn't win championships here!

Mid Season Moves D-
none and he was done

Final Grade D
First to damn near worst

Truco

Draft Grade B
Did well with the selections of M. Barber,F. Jones, T. Owens , C. Johnson and L. White. Suffered setbacks with R. Johnson

Keepers Grade C

T. Romo - Despite being injured for several weeks he still managed to be a top 10 QB at 20 points a game.
T. Holt - Horrible season nuff said

Mid Season Moves A+ (for us)

Found no one to play with :)

Final Grade B-

Great two year run. Shaky roster but finished with a solid 7-5-1 record.

Wrecking Crew

Draft Grade

Okay... Here are the facts. He Lost 1st and 2nd round picks due to keepers. Scored decent points with T.J. Houshmandzadeh, but the rest of his draft..

Edgerrin James,
Laurence Maroney
Todd Heap,
Chris Chambers,
Joey Galloway,
Donte Stallworth,
D.J. Hackett,
Shaun Alexander
Ladell Betts,

He would scored an A if this draft took place 3 years ago but this year I have to give him... I can't do it

Keepers Grade C

C. Portis Was on his way to a MVP season till injuries set in. Just finished outside the top 10 at his position.
P. Manning - Traded to Sas. I know most people will say why

Mid Season Moves C

The crew just made 1 significant move. He traded Peyton Manning and Ike Hilliard for Willis McGahee, Ronnie Brown and Tony Gonzalez. I know your thinking why... but it wasn't as bad as it sounded. Manning only averaged 7 more points than J Cambell Ike gave him nothing. Those two could not save his season. T. Gonzalez ended up being the #1TE R. Brown averaged over 12 points a games (top 20 Back). He probably should have asked for another top tier back but had to a least try to gamble.

Final Grade D
Toilet Bowl champ but can't give him a F because he tried to make something happen via a trade.

Old Fart

Draft Grade B
Kudos for drafting, M. Lynch, M. Forte, K. Smith, J.Stewart and J. Witten. Didn't do so well with J. Norwood, R. Mendenhall and R Curry. Drafted Rob Bironas(#1 Kicker almost 10 points a game) but let him go.

Keeper Grades A-

R. Wayne Off year for him but still ranks 8th among all WR at over 12 Points a game

D. Brees -Great season. The #1 QB this year avg over 26 points per game.

Mid Season Moves B
Active on the waiver wire but no significant trades.

Final Grade D
Finished in 9th with a roster than included Forte and D Brees

Neo

Draft Grade B -
Neo had a solide draft with no help from the experts. He scored big by landing:B. Westbrook, M. Turner. Made solid picks with B. Roethlisberger and B. Favre. But fumbled with Marvin Harrison,Reggie Brown, Ahmad Bradshaw and Chad Johnson. I would have gave him a higher grade but he also dropped Leon Washington and since we're not gading on a curve.....

Keepers Grade C

R. Grant - 2nd round - averaging 5.3 and ranked 49 - See T. Holt. Should you bench him? No TD's this year.
L. Fitzgerald - 3rd round - averaging 16.8 and ranked 2nd - Also having a MVP year at WR. As long as Warner passes, he will score.

Mid Season Moves C
Nothing to write about

Final Grade B-
Finished with 7-6 record for 4th place.

Sasquatch

Draft Grade B -

SAS also had solid draft without any help from the so called experts. He gets brownie points for drafting: B. Jacobs, R. White, H Ward, T. Gonzalez. Also made a solid selection with D. Driver. However he lulled us to sleep by selecting W. McGahee, and R. Brown (the key to this years draft I'll tie this up later) and blew it by selecting C. Palmer ,

Keepers Grade C

J. Addai - 1st round - averaging 9.7 and ranked 33rd - disappointing so far...only 1 game in the 20's.....kinda brittle this year.
C. Palmer - 3rd round - averaging 8.2 and ranked 28 - Injury bug....only 3 TD's, 4 INT's and 2 Fumbles..need I say more?

Mid Season Moves B
Tried his best to work waiver wire. Made crucial trade to get Manning.

Final Grade C
6-7 record. No toilet bowl and 5th place finish

Bronx Bombers

Bomber had a pretty good draft. Scored big by drafting M. Jones-Drew,D. McNabb, T Jones, and P. Willis.. Blew it with the selections of Plaxico J. Shockey. He let Garrard go (went on to be top 10 QB). His 4 big choices are ranked in the top 10 at their position.

Draft Grade B+

Keepers Grade B-

RB L. Tomlinson - 1st round - averaging 13.7 pts and ranked 9th among RB's - Has had his up and down games...still a worthy 1st round choice
WR A. Johnson - 3rd round - averaging 14.6 and ranked 12th - has played well at home but not so good on the road.

Mid Season Moves B-
Just waiver wire stuff. Solid

Final Grade F
Second place is first place for loser. Second place for the second year in a row is pathetic!

Monsoon

Monsoon had an interesting draft. He scored big with Randy Moss, Jay Cutler,

Greg Jennings, and Eli Manning. He didn't score by selecting Earnest Graham, Selvin Young, and Kenny Watson. I'd have to give incomplete grades to Larry Johnson, Kellen Winslow and Marques Colston

Draft Grade B-

Keepers Grade B-

A. Boldin - 4th round - averaging 12.9 and ranked 7th. When he plays he puts up good numbers...out last 2 weeks.
K. Winslow - 6th round - averaging 6.1 and ranked 13th - Top TE, but been a victim of the Browns bad offense to begin the year.

Mid Season Moves C
Waiver wire etc.

Final Grade C
7-6 record made the playoffs for a 7th place finish

Krush

Krush score well by drafting F. Gore and S. Jackson, and J. Garcia but unfortunately get demerits for drafting Derek Anderson, Jamal Lewis, Braylon Edwards and Nate Burleson

Draft Grade C

Keepers Grade D

B. Edwards - 3rd round - averaging 8.6 and ranked 45 -
F. Taylor - 5th round - averaging 4.5 and ranked 54 - pretty much a bye week fill in. Does have a 100 yr game this year.Mid Season Moves

Final Grade C

3rd place finish with a 6-7 record.

The Season is over

Well another season down the drain. The sequel was much better than the original but I personaly hated the ending (Trucos did it again... Congrats). I played in 3 Fantasy leauges this year (31-14-1)and went to the title game in all three. Funny thing... I lost all three (I know Herm.... you play to win the game!!) so I might change my name to the Bronx Bills. I guess I am the King of the Losers 3 times over Bow to me !!!! (Sorry Doug)

Overall this season was a success and I am looking forward to bigger things next year. I already have a theme for next year: WBIFL Season III 'What's the Excuse this time!!". If your not ready to play a full 16 games next year then don't even bother coming back. Again you play to win the game....Anyway I promised a WBIFL Wrapup so here it goes:

WBIFL 2 Year Career Totals (Regular Season only)

Panama QXOPA 12-1
El Salvador. 18-8
Fantasy Wrecking Crew 16-9-1
Bronx Bombers 15-10-1
Old Fart 14-9-1
Kensington KRUSH 10-16
Bombay Monsoon 10-16
Team Sasquatch 8-18
The Matrix 6-18-2
Planet Drew 2-10-1

WBIFL Year End Awards
**Based on regular season trophies

Rookie of the Year: Panama QXOPA Who else... (No Cenk you are no longer a rookie after year 2)
Offensive Team of the Year: Panama QXOPA As the Patriots went so did his team..
Defensive Team of the Year: Planet drew I guess defense doesn't win championships after all... But it keeps you out of the toilet bowl!
Comeback Team of the Year Bombay Monsoon He traded Romo, Ownens, and Willis McGahee and still managed to make the playoffs

This Year there were a whopping 11 trades. Here are the best and worst of them

Top 6 Trades that should have happened but were rejected.

1. Bombers and Planet Drew: Wes Welker or Shawn McDonald, Earnest Graham for Jason Witten. Welker and Graham had great seasons. McDonald was a hit for a few weeks Drew had the option on Welker or McDonald. He declined and chose S.Moss, A. Green, and H. Miller :D

2. Bombers and Fantasy Wrecking Crew: Santana Moss, Earnest Graham, Heath Miller for Dallas Clark. Graham went on to be the RB The Crew needed, Miller was the 7th ranked TE and S.Moss was a bust

3.Bombers and Panama: Santana Moss, Earnest Graham for Steeler D. Graham would have given Panama a 3rd legit RB to go with Westbrook and Peterson to make his team stronger (outside of Brady, Moss, Peterson, adn Westbrook everyone else sucked). The Redskin D was ranked 14th to the Steelers 11th not much of a dropoff. S. Moss was a bust. Again :D

4. Old Farts and Planet Drew: Frank Gore P. Rivers and D Bowe for Chad Johnson and another player to be named later. Rivers was the 15th Ranked QB and had a better season that Drews other QBs on his roster. Bowe would have made nice combo with B Marshall and Gore ended up being the 11th ranked RB better than Drew's other RB

5. Old Farts and The Krush: Gore and winslow for Braylon Edwards Both players would have helped the Krush from fading at thew end. Gore would have provided help at RB while Winslow ended up being the 4th ranked TE and a better player than the Krush started every week.

6. Bombers and the Krush: Lee Evans Ryan Grant for Braylon Edwards. Ryan Grant turned out to be an RB that would have helped the Krush avoid his end of the year slide. He ended up with Evans via the waiver wire with mixed results.

Top 6 trades that never should have happened

1. Trucos and Monsoon: Travis Henry,Matt Leinart for Brandon Jackson, Tony Romo. This trade started Doug's big comeback. Leinart was injured for most of the season Travis Henry avg 6.4 points per game while Romo went on to be the second rated QB with 27.9 points per game.

2.Trucos and Planet Drew: Jamal Lewis,Heath Miller for Chris Chambers,Julius Jones
Jamal Lewis went on to score 14.3 points per game and Miller added 7.7 points for Doug while Julius Jones scored 5.9 per game. Chambers did chip in with a respectable 9 points per game but Miller still had better years than either of Drew's TE on his roster. I gotta admit I hate J Lewis and would trade him right now if I had him but for Julius Jones... :(

3. Monsoon and Old Farts: Willis McGahee, Terrell Owens for Frank Gore,Cedric Benson,Kellen Winslow,Dwayne Bowe. Before this trade Kevin had nothing.... lowest scoring team in the league. After the trade he won 4 out of his last 6 to almost make the playoffs. Cedric Benson went on to be hurt and Keat dropped D Bowe a week later.

4. Trucos and Sasquatch: Hines Ward for Dominic Rhodes. Doug made a mistake on this trade. He tried to sucker James but forgot to add another player. He tried to void the trade but James refused (can't really blame him). You see how both their seasons ended.... :(

5. The Matrix and Bronx Bombers Ryan Grant for Marc Bulger. This deal was made because I did not want Grant to waste away on my bench and I needed backup QB help. Since no one else wanted to make a deal to fill their need at RB (Krush, Wrecking crew) I decided to give Grant to Cenk for nothing. I cut Bulger the next week. You see how my season ended... :(

6.Bomber and Sasquatch Willie Parker for Kevin Walter,Greg Jennings. Jennings put up great numbers 13 points per game while Walter was solid 9.4 points per game. Parker was a disappointment scoring 10.3 points. All you need to know Week 16 Jennings 6 points, Walter 14 points Parker 0.........

Waiver Wire Wonders...
This year there were quite a few teams who could have helped themselves easily if they would have used the waiver wire more effectively. Here is the All Waiver Wire team of players who were not drafted who went on to be major players this year

QB B. Farve
QB D. Anderson
RB E. Graham
RB J. Fargas
RB K.Watson
WR R. White
WR B. Marshall
WR K.Walter
TE D. Lee
TE T. Scheffler
Def GB
Def Giants
LB P. Willis

For the finale I present a team by team breakdown of the turning point or points of their season with the reprecussions

Turning Points

Panama QXOPA -The turning point for Panama was not strenghtening his bench for the playoffs after he was exposed in a week 10 loss to Kevin. The back half of his roster was average and the big 5 could not carry him down the stretch. Jorge has been tied or outscored by someone each round of the playoffs including the bye.

El Salvador Truco - The turning point for Truco was the Northeast weather storm in week 15. His 100 points that week wouldn't have only beaten 1 othe team that week. *Honerable mention would be Trucos landing Romo before Leinart's injury.

Fantasy Wrecking Crew: The crews turning point was M. Harrison never recovering from injury early this season. He lost out on the Manning to Harrison combined points.

Bronx Bombers: The turning point for me was the Green Bay Bear game for the Championship. Farve and the packer Defense both lay eggs. :(

Old Fart: The game that basically kept Kevin from the playoffs this season was the Dallas Buffalo Monday night game. Dallas recovers onside kick in the closing seconds and N Folk kicks a 50 yard field goal for the game. The result was a two point win for me that would have put Kevin one game above the Krush for the last spot.

Kensington KRUSH: The Krush's season turned after he failed to obtain a RB before the trade dealine. Once R. Brown, L Johnson, and M Lynch went down to injury the Krush only won 2 of their final 8 games and barely made the playoffs by .5 points.

Bombay Monsoon: Bombay's turning point was key pickups of Chester Taylor and Maurice Morris in late in the season. He was able to use them along with Gore to win 2 keys games at the end to get him into the playoffs after trading away the core of a would be playoff team (Willis McGahee, Terrell Owens,Tony Romo

Team Sasquatch- The turning point for Sas was not being able to make a week 4 trade with some of his excess running backs. From that point on his backfieled situation went south and he never seemed to get back on track.

The Matrix- The turning point for Neo was the draft day deadline. As a result of Bomber and Trucos being frustrated by a lack of deadline trades; they both combined to trade a give Cenk a core of players (Earnest Graham, Marques Colston, Larry Fitzgerald and Ryan Grant for nothing (Kenny Watson, Rudi Johnson,Torry Holt, and Marc Bulger -waiver wire pickup). Before the trade he was 2-6-2 but a result of the trade he goes 3-3 (including the playoffs) to avoid the toilet bowl. Without that trade he was a lock for the toilet bowl.

Planet Drew - The turning point for Drew was Willie parker going down with an injury on his first carry in Week 16. Davenport went on to give him 29 points to give him a win in the toilet bowl over James. Without the injury Davenport would probrably not haved score 5 points.

Again thanks for playing. Stay tuned for the trophy presentation. Remember "2nd Place is First Place for Losers!"
Trust me I should know :(

Final Results for week 9

Here on the Results, unless there are some unforseen changes done by ESPN later on this week.....

Looks like Neo, Drew and Monsoon don't want to take control of that last playoff spot...all have 2 wins..plus loses and ties....

Bombers (6-3) 166.5 vs Monsoon (2-7) 88.5 Bombers ties the KRUSH for the lead in the National Conference. Bombers next 4 games are within his Conference. He gets Sasquatch next week. If he beats Sas and Farts lose he will clinch a spot in the playoffs. Monsoon still isn't out of the playoffs yet, but he needs to start winning. He gets Drew next week in a key game.

Old Fart (3-6) 110.5 vs Wrecking Crew (5-3-1) 116 Crew gets key points from his K since Pittsburg had a big scoring night. He now leads both Fart and Sasquatch by 2.5 games with 4 to play. If Crew wins next week and both Fart and Sasquatch lose, he clinches the last playoff spot. Crew plays the KRUSH while Fart gets QXOPA

Sasquatch (3-6) 162.5 vs KRUSH (6-3) 110.5 Sasquatch ties Fart for last place. Sasquatch gets Bombers next week and the KRUSH gets the Crew.

Neo (2-5-2) 119.5 vs Drew (2-6-1) 119.5 WOW...What can I say about this game? Neo is down by 46 points going into the monday night game and gets a big scoring night from Roethlisberger and gets 46 points to salvage a tie with Drew. Unbelievable! The Ultimate would have been if he won the game. Neo gets Trucos next week and Drew plays Monsoon.

QXOPA (9-0) 198.5 vs Trucos (5-4) 153 QXOPA clinches the 1st round bye with this win. He plays Old Fart next week without Brady/Moss and Trucos get Neo.

Weekend Results - Week 9

Bombers (5-3) 161 vs Monsoon (2-6) 57.5 Bombers gets double Digit points from practically everyone and heads into tonight with a 99% sure win. He has W. Parker going tonight and Monsoon still has a WR and LB to go. B. Favre has a nice 28 pt game and L. Evans was a nice Wire pickup getting over 25pts. Thats 2 over 20 pt games for him....Monsoon's only player to do well was K. Winslow with 17.5...everyone else was horrible.

Old Fart (3-5) 97 vs Wrecking Crew (4-3-1) 108 Crew leads this key game going into tonight with Crew having the Pittsburgh K and Fart having RB W. McGahee. If Fart had used D. Brees at QB he would actually be leading Crew by 9pts instead of being down by 11. T. Owns had a big game Sunday night getting 29pts for Fart...all other players didn't perform well.....even R. Wayne, who only got 8.5. For Crew, P. Manning only got 20. C. Portis had a big game, which was predicted.....getting 25. J. Galloway gets almost 17...he has had a good year so far.

Sasquatch (2-6) 162.5 vs KRUSH (6-2) 110.5 Sasquatch gets a Monster showing from his players..and is wondering why his roster didn't produce like this every week. With Both teams having no players going tonight, Sasquatch gets an important win and moves to 3-6. He still has a chance to get out of the Toilet Bowl. G. Jennings seems to be on a roll after his trade with Bombers...getting another over 20 pt effort. C. Palmer was steady with 23 pts and J. Addai scores over 30....he is quietly becoming one of the top 3 RB's in Fantasy. KRUSH got nice games from M. Hasselbeck and M. Lynch but S. Smith again was terrible getting only 2.5 points. He only got 2 points last week. L. Johnson had a good game going but sprained his ankle in the 4th Qtr. KRUSH goes to 6-3 and will be tied with Bombers for the conference lead and a 1st round bye.

Neo (2-5-1) 73.5 vs Drew (2-6) 119.5 Neo is down by 46 pts and needs some good effort from his 2 remaining players going tonight. B. Roethlisberger and D. Mason. Drew is praying for a low-scoring game and with 2 great D's going...it just might be. Neo got a nice game from Cowboys D and J. Cotchery. Drew again got consistent pts from J. Garcia.....and Reggie Bush had his best fantasy day with 26.5 pts. L. White got another 100 yrd rushing day and a TD..he seems to be getting better and better. If Drew wins, he will be 3rd and out of the toilet bowl for the week.

QXOPA (8-0) 170.5 vs Trucos (5-3) 149 Doesn't look good for QXOPA to get his 1st loss. A. Peterson is starting to become the 1st fantasy draft pick starting next year. He almost got 300 yards rushing. He racked up almost 50 points.....had 2 long runs for TD's....unbelievable. Brady got 27, Westbrook 28, Engram 26, R. Moss 24.5.....WOW. Only had 1 player do poorly, Randel El, getting 1.5. Trucos put up a good effort....having Romo get 34 pts and and surprisingly J. Lewis get 35. Gates had an off day with only 1.5 pts. QXOPA has Steelers D abd Ravens K to go and Trucos has just Ravens D.

9th Weekend Matchups/Analysis

5 games to go....we are now getting to the point where we can't afford anymore losses...except Jorge

Pink Bombers (5-3) vs Monsoon (2-6) : Bombers need a win to stay with the KRUSH who is 1 game ahead of him. He could use another 30 point game from B. Favre who faces KC. L. T. had an off game last week but faces a good run defense in Minnesota. W. Welker should have a nice game with the Pats facing the Colts..could be high-scoring..we'll see. For Monsoon, McNabb
needs a good game against Dallas. Perhaps S. Alexander will have a breakout game..he needs it since he has scored in single digits the last 4 games. K. Winslow should continue to get his 12 pts a game. A win by Monsoon with losses by Neo and Drew would put him ahead for the last playoff spot.

Fart (3-5) vs Wrecking Crew (4-3-1) : Another key game...Crew can put himself 2 wins ahead of Fart by winning and/or 2-3 games ahead of Sasquatch for the last playoff spot. P. Manning could have a big game if the game is high-scoring...along with D. Clark. C. Portis faces a bad Jets D so he could get some yards and a score. T.J. Housh is quietly becoming the number 1 guy in Cin. K. Jones has had 2 good games the last 2 weeks. For Fart, R. Wayne could be the recipient of some of Mannings TD's this weekend....could cancel out some of Mannings points. T. Owens could have a big game coming back to Phili. McGahee could have a tough time finding running room against the Steelers. He has been averaging 15 a game.

Sasquatch (2-6) vs KRUSH (6-2) : Another nice battle. Sasquatch needs the win to stay in the hunt and KRUSH could put another game between him and Bombers. Sasquatch needs C. Palmer to throw more than 1 TD a game which he has done the last few weeks. J. Addai is back to his old self by scoring 29 last week. We'll see if he gets that chance this week or if the Colts have to throw alot. B. Stokley, with 2 nice games the last 2 weeks, should have another against Detroit. Krush hopes M. Hasselbeck capitalizes on a weak Cleveland D. S. Smith had 2 points last week. Can his QB get him the ball at all? If D. Carr starts, he probably won't have a good game. Colts D could take a hit this week against the Pats.

Neo (2-5-1) vs Drew (2-6) : Neo leads Drew and Monsoon by 1/2 game for the last playoff spot. If Drew wins, he could (depending on Monsoon's game) lead for that last spot. B. Roethlisberger has been a surprise all year, but he faces a good Ravens D. D. Foster faces an uphill battle against a good Tenn run Defense. K. Watson has a concussion and didn't practice yesterday..but R. Johnson did. Not sure who will get the carries this week. D. Mason has been a great WR...double digit points almost every week. Drew hopes J. Garcia keeps up his great play this year..9th ranked QB. R. Bush may get alot of points receiving this week because he faces a tough run D. C. Chambers scored a TD in his 1st game with the Chargers last week....he may get more with teams focusing on A. Gates. We're still looking for another breakout game from C. Johnson...he has scored over 20 points just once..and that was 40 points in the 2nd game of the year.

QXOPA (8-0) vs Trucos (5-3) : QXOPA has already clinched a spot in the playoffs. Trucos is just praying for a win to keep him closer to a playoff spot too. Expect Brady/Moss to perhaps rack up some points against the Colts..I'm sure Brady will come out throwing again. After getting only 7 points last week, A. Peterson hopes to turn that around against the Chargers. Randel El could have a nice game against the lowly Jets D. T. Romo will start for Trucos and perhap she can get over 20 points since he has scored 19 or less the last 3 weeks. M. Colston got 3 TD's last week....he may be coming around now. Jones-Drew should get plenty of touches against New Orleans.

Week 8 Results

QXOPA 137 - Bombers 129 The Bombers needed another long TD and 50 more yards from Favre and he would have beaten QXOPA. It was a gallant effort. Thats 3 straight games Brady has scored over 45 points. A. Peterson had an off day with 7 points but B. Westbrook made up for it with 22. If L. Tomlinson had scored his average, Bombers would have pulled it off..but he only got a disappointing 9.5. Bombers new acquisition, W. Parker, got him a nice 19 points. With the win, QXOPA goes to 8-0 and clinches a spot in the playoffs. Bombers fall to 5-3.

Drew 108 - Fart 97.5 Old Fart had 1 player going last night, D. Wynn, but if you can believe it...he got injured on his 1st running play and never returned. That gave the win to Drew right there. Drew got some balanced scoring from L. White, R. Bush and J. Garcia..but got 25 points from the Bills D, who he picked up on the wire and thats what put him over the top. Farts D got only 5pts. D. Anderson still is putting up nice points...got 30 on Sunday. Drew goes to 2-6 and Fart is now 3-5. Both are still in the toilet bowl running.

Wrecking Crew 159.5 - Trucos 112 The Crew got 56 points from his D (Patriots) and his LB (Vrabel) and that was the clincher. Also putting up points were K. Jones (16) and J. Galloway (22). Trucos just didn't get the points from most of his players. E. Graham, after getting 25 last week, only got 8 this week and Jones-Drew, not at 100%, only got 6. M. Colston, on his bench, got 28. Crew puts some distance from the toilet bowl and moves to 4-3-1. Trucos falls to 5-3.

Sasquatch 132.5 - Neo 112 Sasquatch can actually feel good at this point about his trade last week with Bombers since it gave him the win. G. Jennings and K. Walter got him almost 35 points. In Fact, it was Neo who first Traded Jennings to Bombers....funny how things come back to haunt you. J. Addai got back on track with 29 and Titans D added 23. Neo finally got at least 20 points from T. Holt. Perhaps we'll see more of that. K. Watson only got 12.5 this week. Sasquatch gets to 2-6 and Neo goes to 2-5-1

KRUSH 112 - Monsoon 109.5 Closest game of the week. S. Young, RB for Denver, who actually had a nice game, needed 17 last night for Monsoon to win, but got only 14. KRUSH got another huge effort from B. Edwards (27)...who is now the 4th ranked WR. KRUSH goes to 6-2 while Monsoon falls to 2-6

Week 7 Results

Bombers 186 - Drew 141 Bombers got a good game from his QB, Griese....good fill in for Favre. Also K. Watson was a great wire pickup getting over 30 points....Welker and Giants D also got 30 points putting Bombers at 5-2 for the year. Drew managed a good point total..in spite of not updating his roster fully. It didn't matter in this game...but I would hate to have a team win a close game because the other team didn't bench players on bye. Seahawks D got a whopping 41 points. Drew is 1-6.

Trucos 120.5 - Old Fart 112 Trucos got some balanced scoring this week. Romo gets 19, Jones-Drew gets 18.5 and E. Graham, who was a good start, gets almost 25. Trucos is 5-2. Old Fart still has problems woth his Rb's scoring points. Brees did a good job getting 20 points for his bye week start. LB D. Ryans had a nice game of 22 points Farts is 3-4.

Neo 118.5 - Wrecking Crew 114.5 Neo holds off The Crew in the 2nd most exciting game of the week. The Crew needed both P. Manning and D. Clark to have really good games.....they actually had decent games but fell 5 points shy of the win. Manning had just 1 TD and ran for another and threw an INT. Neo got 34 from Roethlisberger, which basically put him over the top this week. D. Mason also had a nice game. Both Neo and Wrecking Crew go to 3-4.

Monsoon 99.5 - Sasquatch 93.5 3rd most exciting game of the week. Battle of 1-5 teams. Sasquatch needed Addai to at least score his average (20) and then he would have won. But, he came up short. Addai got 12 points but his backup, Keith, vultured the TD in the first quarter. Those 6 points would have at least tied the game for Sasquatch. Monsoon goes to 2-5 while Sasquatch is 1-6.

QXOPA 165.5 - KRUSH 161 MOST EXCITING GAME OF THE WEEK. The KRUSH came ohhh so close!! 5 points from giving QXOPA his first lost. Colts D and the Colts K got 36 points last night for KRUSH...almost!!!!! If R. Brown had not been Injured in the 3rd quarter, he definetly would have scored more points then the 12.5 he got....and QXOPA would have lost. Leave it to Brady/Moss to get 82 points. Also Redskins D get 27. All other players were average or below. QXOPA is now 7-0 and Krush is 5-2.

7th Weekend Matchups/Analysis

We are about 1/2 way thru the season...and after this weekends games I will give a report on how we all are doing with 6 more weeks to go and other analysis.

This weekends matchups: (don't forget to update your Roster)

Bombers vs Drew: The Bombers picked up B. Griese on waivers to plug in at QB since Favre is on bye. Also L. Tomlinson is on bye...so Bombers will have to hope his bench can pull him through. B. Jacobs is still favoring his ankle and will shares carries with Droughns and Ward. welker should continue his strong play against the bad Miami D....M. Barber faces the 2nd best rushing D in Minnesota....perhaps he'll catch more in this game. For Planet Drew, V. Young may not go this Sunday....he is questionable although if he played he should do ok. C. Johnson has a favorable matchup against the Jets D. A. Green faces a tough (#1) Titan D against the run. R. Bush should have a good game being the #1 guy in New Orleans.

Old Fart Vs Trucos: Fart had to pick up D. Brees from the wire to start this one game. A couple of his players are back from their byes, Gore and R. Wayne. Wayne should have a good game if the Colts/Jaguars game is a high scoring shootout. As of this writing Fart is still waiting to see who to start for the Patriots, Maroney or Faulk. For Trucos, Romo faces a bad Minnesota pass defense...expect good numbers for him and perhaps Crayton. Jones-Drew has stepped it up the last 2 weeks....unless the Jaguars have to play catchup against the Colts, he may get a TD and 100 yards. Boldin will be back this weekend....but if Rattay starts at QB, he won't get many points. A. Gates on bye this week

Wrecking Crew vs Neo: The Crew gets his Colt trio back this weekend. All 3, Manning, Harrison and Clark should get their points. Both Portis/Betts have been performing below expectations the last few weeks..although they do play a bad Cardinal D. T.J. Housemandzadeh is on a roll lately, scoring over 20 in every game except the 1st one....expect that to continue. Droughns has been a TD vulture. Neo just hopes his players perform up to expectations. Roethlisberger may have a good game...especially if Denver's CB Champ Bailey doesn't play. R. Johnson is still questionable for this week. E. James may have a tough time if opposing D's stack the line since Arizona may have to start Rattay at QB again. T. heap may not play again this Sunday.

Sasquatch vs Monsoon: Sasquatch gets Addai/Parker back, which I know he is thankful for since he won't have to start 2 of 3 of the bad Oakland Raider RB's. T. Jones had a decent yardage game last week, but still no TD's....he faces a bad Run D in the Bengals. His WR's did horrible last week scoring 6.5 points. Gonzalez had a breakout game last week with 27 points. Monsoon has talent....hard to believe he is 1-5. Letting Romo go in the trade seemed to not have worked in his favor. Since that trade, Romo has scored 79 points while his other 2 QB's have scored 22 (McNabb) and 25 (Kitna). All Monsoon needs is to have every player put it together. R. Williams had scored only single points the last few weeks and S. Alexander has scored worse every week...starting with 20 points in week 1 to 14 in week 2, all the way to 3 last week.

KRUSH vs QXOPA: Battle of the Capital Letter teams....and the top 2 teams in the league. The Krush hopes R. Brown can keep his momentum going....getting over 20 points the last 4 weeks. Also L. Johnson got back on track last week and he should do well against the Raiders. L. Coles could have a nice game..especially if the Jets have to play catch up against the Bengals potent WR's. B. Watson may not play this weekend. Krush needs a good game from everyone if they can compete against basically the same lineup QXOPA played last week which scored over 200 points.

Final Results - Week 6

Lets get to it....

Bombers 152 - Trucos 144.5. The Bombers did another improbable comeback. P. Burress and the Giants D combine for almost 40 points and he beats Trucos. Both teams are now 4-2. Burress has scored in everygame so far. L. Tomlinson gets his biggest total so far this year and so does W. Welker. Favre had an off game..but should get back on track after next weeks bye. Bombers need a QB next week. LT is on bye too. Trucos also got monster games from Jones-Drew and Ravens D, but it wasn't enough. Bombers get Drew next week and Trucos get Old Fart.

Old Fart 84.5 - Neo 76. A battle of low scoring teams....both teams players seem to be on vacation. They both only had 2 players score in double digits. Rivers puts up a stinker after getting 31 the previous week. C. Benson continues to disappoint. Bucs D was the difference for Fart....a waiver wire pickup. Both R. Johnson and T. Heap barely played and got 0 points for Neo. QB problems for Green Bay and St Louis led to his 3 WR's getting a total of 14 points.
Old Fart is 3-3 and Neo is 2-4. Neo gets Wrecking Crew next week.

Wrecking Crew 124.5 - Monsoon 59.5. The Crew gets an easy win since Monsson didn't update his roster....although it wouldn't have mattered since the Crew would have won regardless. Houshmandzadeh gets his biggest point total (31) and Crew gets a surprising 17 from R. Droughns. Monsoon plays Sasquatch next week. Crew is 3-3 and Monsoon is 1-5.

QXOPA 214.5 - Sasquatch 99. We all hate Jorge! Another monster game for Peterson and Brady....also Cooley gets his top point total so far (22.5) and Redskins D also do a good job. Sasquatch just didn't have enough fire power. Having all 3 Oakland RB's seems to be a bad move since we have no idea who will do what. D. Rhodes scored no points. T. Gonzalez gets over 20 points. QXOPA is 6-0 and Sasquatch is 1-5. QXOPA gets KRUSH next week.

KRUSH 177.5 - Drew 78 - KRUSH gets a bouceback game from Hasselbeck (30) and another from S. Smith (26) to beat Drew. KRUSH is now 5-1. Drew is 1-5.
