This Weekends Matchups/Analysis

Farts vs Monsoon: Looks like Monsoon will be starting Kitna (unless he changes it up later)..Kitna had a good game last week...can he keep it going this week against the Viking's D? His D, Chargers, might have a tough time keeping the Patriots out of the endzone. The Farts need to get a better game out of Maroney and Benson..who both scored only in single digits last week....Wayne should have a good game against Tenn.

Sasquatch vs Bombers: A good matchup....H & V predicts Sasquatch will take it. Palmer faces the Browns, so he may have a good game...Addai should get his yards and we'll see if Lamont Jordan gets as many touches as he did last week..he was a major surprise....His WR's may not do too good...Gonzalez faces teh Bears D. Burress for the Bombers may not get 3 TD's this week if Eli can't play...Perhaps Tomlinson will gain more than the 25 yards he got last week.

Krush (formerly Samsqanch) vs Wrecking Crew: Johnson scored 11.5 points against Houston last week...how will he do against the Bears D? S Smith should do well against Houston. Manning should get his usual over 20 points for the Crew..but his RB's need to do a better job this week if he is to win.

Drew vs Neo: Drews team needs to get with it....had the lowest score last week. Saints need to give Bush the ball more...White and Lewis need to step it up...C Johnson should get a score or 2 this week. For Neo...I doubt Brees will get 3.5 points again..expect him to bounce back this week. Johnson should be good for nice points against the Brown's D.

Trucos vs QXOPA: Bragging rights for the best Hispanic fantasy football coach. Will Trucos give Leinart another chance or will he make a QB change this week???? Jackson and Jones-Drew should be better this week...We'll see if the Ariz WR's can catch more than 1 TD. Will Randy Moss help QXOPA score big again this week? Brady easily could throw 3-4 TD's every week. Will the other Moss..Santana, drop 3-4 passes this week?.

Waiver Wire

Well....a few of us used the waiver wire to make our teams better. The claims got processed this morning and the results are in.

Old Farts got Ronald Curry from Oakland - Will probably be their #1 receiver all year.

Trucos got the Colts D - but dropped the Jaguars D too, which is owned in about 99% of the leagues in ESPN...he also got Derrick Ward, which is a surprise, the starting RB for NY Giants until Jacobs comes back. A Steal....

Bombers got Patrick Crayton - WR from Dallas will get looks with Glenn out....their 3rd WR

QXOPA got RB Tony Hunt - Backup to Westbrook from Phili and WR Antwaan Randle El from the Skins....who had a big day last Sunday.

Trucos pulled out a close one with Drew....
Kudos to QXOPA for scoring the most in week 1 and to Samsqanch for getting 29 points from the Vikings D which put him over the top.

First Weekend Results/Comments

Wow...what a good first weekend....Lets get to it!

I know we have a long way to go...but will Randy Moss be a 6th round steal for Jorge? He racks up a score and over 180 yards receiving...

Bombers vs Neo: Talk about a big lead! Bombers leads Neo by 80 points..Neo has 4 guys going tonight but thats too many points to make up, I think. Tomlinson has a really subpar day rushing (25 yrds, 2 points)..but gets over 20 points for his TD pass and receiving....thats why he is the best fantasy player. Buress gets 3 TD's. Neo's problem this week was Brees getting only 3 points.

Wrecking Crew vs Old Farts: Crew leads by 6.5 points going inot tonights games. Crew still has Houshmandzadeh to go and Farts has Gore. Should be a nailbiter to the end.

Samsqanch vs Sasquatch: Grudge match of the week. Sams leads Sasq by over 40 points. Sasq still has Palmer and WR Jackson up tonight. Could be another close contest. Sams got good production from his WR's and his Vikings D, which got him 29 points. Sasq got a very surprising 25 points from Lamont Jordan. He never scored that much in any game last year.

Panama vs Bombay: Another big showing. Panama leads by 35 points with his kicker still to go..while Bombay has his LB, TE and McGahee still to go tonight. Like I mentioned earlier....Moss with a big game (29.5) and the rookie Peterson from the Vikings getting over 25...he actually may get more touches since Taylor left the 2nd half with a hip injury.

Trucos vs Drew: Trucos is behind by 15 points but he still has the whole Cardinals team to go....actually he has 4 cardinals and 2 ravens to go and Drew just has Chad Johnson....Trucos must pray that SF doesn't shut them out tonight. Both of Trucos RB's had really bad games...Jackson and Jones-Drew getting only 8 points combined...but got over 20 points from Gates and almost 20 by Henry. Drew got mediocre games from just about everyone on his team.
