4th Weekend Matchups/Analysis

I thought perhaps there would be a flurry of trades after last week...but I guess I was wrong. It seems quite a few used the waiver wire to help their teams and perhaps adding a free agent or two. Still don't understand why some teams didn't use the waiver wire...there were quite a few players that could help teams...especially since we have had a slew of injuries.

Sasquatch vs Drew: Will Drew get his 1st win?? Probably not this week. Sasquatch has his big 3 RB's going....together they average about 60 points. Palmer goes against the tough Patriots D..we'll see if he can get back on track....and he may since Rudi Johnson is out and the Pats D is tough on the run. He will need to pass more. Drew hasn't done anything to upgrade his team and he has 4 players on bye and his bench won't help since they are mainly backup players except Brandon Marshall, who is a nice sleeper.

Wrecking Crew vs Bombers: The Crew had a few players on bye....requiring him to pick up some RB's from the wire. Droughns was a vulture last week picking up 2 TD's from the goal line...I'm sure the Crew hopes he does it again. Pittman will get the ball some for TB, but don't expect too many points with Grahan probably getting goal line carries. P. Manning should have an interesting game against the good Denver cornerbacks...still, he should get his usual over 20 points. Will the Bombers keep an obviously not 100% Bulger as QB..or move Favre to the QB position? To me Favre has the better matchup...LT should have a good game against KC and Barber is the "Man" now in Dallas over Jones...Welker should be a nice play this week against a Cincinnati D that gave up a cruise of passing TD's to The Browns.

KRUSH vs Old Fart: Old Fart is still waiting for his players to wake up..he has the least points of anyone in the league, but has a 2-1 record. Maroney is running good but still is looking for his 1st TD since Morris is vulturing the goal line carries. Benson gets Detroit's bad rushing D.
Perhaps Wayne can get a TD this week. For the KRUSH....can R. Brown duplicate his efforts from Last weeks 46 point explosion..or get under 10 points like the other 2 weeks? Foster ran well last week against atlanta but faces a better D in tampa this week. S. Smith had 1 ctach for 10 yards last week....awful....after averaging 30 points the first 2 weeks..he should get back to normal this week. Watson has been a pleasant surprise geting a TD every week. Who would have thought anyone would bench L. Johnson, a 1st round pick, for a 2nd week? What a disappointment so far for Johnson owners.

QXOPA vs Neo: I expect another 4-6 TD's for Brady/Moss. No one has stopped them yet so why should Brady stop throwing? He won't. Peterson has been a nice surprise while Taylor is out...Westbrook missed another practice Thursday..we'll see if he can go Sunday night. QXOPA had to plug in a few bench players since his starting WR's are on bye....Stokley isn't much of a fantasy threat and Dunn is just an adequate backup. Will he drop a bench player to pick up a TE? The way his team has been scoring..he may not need too. Neo neo neo...a few of his players didn't practice this week...like Briggs and R. Johnson, who is out for Monday's game. Look for Driver to have a good game. E. James has the Pitt D to go against...I don't expect a good game from him.

Trucos vs Monsoon: Trucos could be in trouble. Reports are that B. Jackson may not play..and if he does he probably won't run well anyway. The Packers will probably throw the ball alot more than run. Even Ward is nursing a bad ankle. Boldin's hip is still hurting him...he could be a game time decsion...Gates should get his points and so should Chambers. Monsoon hopes for another great game from McNabb. Although if westbrook doesn't play his numbers may be reduced. McGahee and Alexander should get their points this week. We'll see if the Chicago D can stop Roy Williams, who had over 3o points last week. We'll see if the trade they did pays dividends for either one of them.

Final Results for week 3

For the games that still had players from Last nights game going:

QXOPA 200.5 - Wrecking Crew 116.5 Enough said!!

Monsoon 148.5 - Planet Drew 122.5 Drew's 4 players last night had decent games (Young 22 pts, Bush 19 pts), but didn't score enough to overtake Bombay.

Trucos 142 - Neo 77 Wow..I didn't think Brees would throw for 8 Td's last night..but i didn't think he would get just 1 point either. Disappointing start for Brees.

Good Luck for next week.....Analysis to come on Thursday!

New Poll..Take a look...

Weekend Results - Week 3

Let me ask 1 question?? Can anyone stop Panama QXOPA?? Over 200 points!?!?! No one yet has given him a game..its been 3 straight blowouts....

Wrecking Crew vs QXOPA: ....Brady/Moss/Westbrook combo got him 9 TD's...and 109 points right there..almost enough to have beaten the Wrecking Crew themselves. He certainly is on a roll. We'll see what he deoes with the Redskins on Bye since he has many of them. The Wrecking Crew had an off day with many players just doing average or below. Manning had just 1 TD. Taylor hasn't scored all year and maybe having Betts and Portis together might not be the best thing. Portis has a good game but Betts didn't.

Sasquatch vs Old Fart: Old Fart took this one when some of Sasquatch Players had an off day. Palmer came back down to earth this week with only 20 points and 1 TD..plus 2 INT's. Looks like Tatum Bell won't get much carries with the Pass-Happy Offense of Detroit...hence only 6.5 points. Old Fart was happy he didn't start Lamont Jordan, who he would have started after last weeks game. Parker ran well yesterday, but no TD's. Old Fart waited a few minutes before 1pm to make a QB change from Cutler to Philip Rivers..the move paid off with Rivers getting 32 points compared to Cutler's 15. Other than Rivers...no one else of the Farts roster did anything great. Gore was Horrible..Maroney ran over 100 yards but Sammy Morris vultured another goal line TD from him. So far Morris has outscored Maroney 28-24.

Krush vs Bombers: The Krush moves to 3-0 by rolling over the Bombers. He finally gets a big game from Ronnie Brown who scores 3 TD's and 43 points. He had only 7 last week. Hasselbeck also has a good game. Krush made a good move by benching Larry Johnson and starting Foster who racks up 26 points while Johnson got 4.5. No one else from the Krush stood out. He just got big games from those 3 players. The Bombers got negative 1 from his QB (Bulger)..so that pretty much deflated his chances. I'm sure not having A. Johnson play and not starting Burress hurt too. LT had a better game but no rushing TD's. M. Barber seems to be the man in the Dallas rushing attack...averaging 20 points a game.

Planet Drew vs Monsoon: Monsoon may have this game in hand. Drew has 4 players going tonight and Monsoon has 1. Drew needs a high scoring game if he is going to overcome an 80 point lead by Monsoon. McNabb and R. Williams have great games. Jamal Lewis also comes back down to earth with 8 points compared to 32 last week.

Trucos vs Neo: I think everyone thought Neo would win this one, including Truco himself. Except for QXOPA...you can go one week from scoring alot to hardly scoring....that was the case for Neo. Truco finally got a good game from Boldin (37 pts). Delhomme did ok and Jackson did better with 14 points but still no TD's yet. Brees goes tonight but it doesn't matter unless he throws like 8 TD's. The funny thing is that Neo's Bench scored 129 points....too funny. Kevin Curtis gets almost 50 points sittin on the bench. Rudi Johnson has a bad game before leaving with a Hamstring Injury.
